This class is great for new gun owners and those who have not shot or handled their firearm in a few years. We seek to help gun owners become completely safe and comfortable handling and shooting their firearms. This class teaches the basics of pistol marksmanship and firearm safety. Topics include: stance, grip, breath control, trigger control, sight picture, sight alignment, follow through, parts of a pistol and revolver, safe pistol/ revolver cleaning, and basic ammunition knowledge. Preferred Caliber is .22lr or 9mm.
Will meet at Spartan Defense Armory & Training Classroom at 10:00 to sign waivers and then head to the range.

Our Advanced CCW & Home Defense course is tailored towards individuals looking to obtain their Concealed Carry Permit and learn the process of preparing a home defense and daily concealed carry plan, this course offers comprehensive instruction and non-live fire training.
This is a classroom only class which satisfies the Colorado requirements to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).
What to Expect:
This comprehensive course covers essential topics related to concealed carry and home defense, providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge to responsibly carry a concealed firearm and safeguard their homes. Participants will learn about firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, applicable laws and regulations, situational awareness, and decision-making in self-defense scenarios. Hands-on training sessions will focus on developing proficiency with concealed carry handguns and practical defensive tactics. Students will practice drawing from concealment, shooting on the move, engaging multiple threats, and navigating simulated home defense scenarios all while using advanced training simulator aids. Through dynamic drills and scenario-based training, participants will gain confidence in their ability to respond effectively to threats in real-world situations. They will also receive a personalized dry-fire training plan to continue practicing at home, ensuring continued progress beyond the classroom.
Course Outcome:

This is a classroom only class which satisfies the Colorado requirements to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).
The focus of this class is on firearm safety, mental preparation, situational awareness, before- during- and the aftermath of a self-defense incident, considerations for use of deadly physical force, and discussions on various self-defense scenarios. Discussions on use of force and Colorado statutes are not legal advice. Upon completion, the certificate is valid to apply for a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).

This class meets the requirements to apply for a concealed carry permit in the state of Colorado.
This is an all day class on the range focused on building critical skills for concealed carry defensive shooting. These skills include: draw from concealment, defensive shooting, one-handed shooting, shooting on the move and other important skills specifically for concealed carry.
It is required that the student already be comfortable with basic pistol marksmanship.
