Basic Hand Gun Shoot Day
Course Description
This class is great for new gun owners and those who have not shot or handled their firearm in a few years. We seek to help gun owners become completely safe and comfortable handling and shooting their firearms. This class teaches the basics of pistol marksmanship and firearm safety. Topics include: stance, grip, breath control, trigger control, sight picture, sight alignment, follow through, parts of a pistol and revolver, safe pistol/ revolver cleaning, and basic ammunition knowledge. Preferred Caliber is .22lr or 9mm.
Course Requirement
- Gear: Eye and Ear protection. Comfortable closed heel & toe shoes.
- Personal handgun (if not, one can be provided at a rental fee $15.00 for the day).Please make arrangements prior to the day of shooting.
- 150 rounds of ammunition. (10% discount if purchasing ammo from Spartan Defense. Must be signed up for this class)
- Minimum age of 14 with Parent or Guardian (Age 25 or older), 41 inches tall, signed waiver
Will meet at Spartan Defense Armory & Training Classroom at 10:00 to sign waivers and then head to the range.

Concealed Carry Class (CCW)
Course Description
The focus of this class is on firearm safety, mental preparation, situational awareness, before- during- and the aftermath of a self-defense incident, considerations for use of deadly physical force, and discussions on various self-defense scenarios. Discussions on use of force and Colorado statutes are not legal advice. Upon completion, the certificate is valid to apply for a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).
This is a classroom only class which satisfies the Colorado requirements to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).
There are no required materials to bring to this class.

Intermediate Concealed Carry (CCW) with Range Day
This is an all day class on the range focused on building critical skills for concealed carry defensive shooting. These skills include: draw from concealment, defensive shooting, one-handed shooting, shooting on the move and other important skills specifically for concealed carry.
It is required that the student already be comfortable with basic pistol marksmanship.
Required materials are:
300-350 rounds
IWB / OWB holster
Double mag pouch/ holster preferred (at least single mag pouch/ holster)
